Osprey nest-building
A male Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) is carrying a twig to its nest in the fork of a large eucalypt tree. I was struck by the massive size of its legs, feet and talons. Shortly after, it mated in a nearby tree. Gataker Bay, Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia, September 2015.
