Bisket Jatra Festival - Chicken Seller
As part of the Bisket Jatra Festival in Bhaktapur, there are mass public sacrifices of chickens and goats. Large numbers of people, all dressed up in their finery, buy a chicken that they hold admiringly before offering it as a sacrifice. A blood-spattered slaughterman then obliges.
